Gomis has one goal and two assists from four league appearances this term, starting twice and coming off the bench on two further occasions. His 229 Bundesliga minutes already rank ninth among all Leipzig players, with only Antonio Nusa and Christopher Nkunku having spent more time on the pitch among the club’s attacking options.

Eso supone un salto notable respecto a la temporada pasada. Gomis acumuló sólo 347 minutos en Bundesliga en 2025/26, la vigésima mayor cifra del plantel, pese a 18 partidos. Apenas dos fueron como titular y su única contribución goleadora fue el gol contra Union Berlín en la jornada 14.
¿Qué ha cambiado?
La oportunidad ha jugado un papel decisivo. Christoph Baumgartner y Yan Diomande estaban entre los cuatro jugadores con más minutos en Leipzig la temporada anterior, pero Baumgartner sufrió una lesión prolongada y Diomande se marchó al Real Madrid.
Eso abrió la puerta a Gomis, y él la ha aprovechado. En mi opinión, su evolución será esencial para el equipo.

Martín Demichelis was particularly impressed by the youngster’s work before the campaign even began.
«He had a very good pre-season and worked really hard in a number of different positions,» said the Leipzig coach. «He can play on the right wing, the left wing or through the middle. He simply has to be ready and fight for his place in different positions. I’m very pleased with his development because you can see that he’s ready.»
That versatility is particularly valuable to Demichelis. After Gomis started and impressed with two assists against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Matchday 1, the coach explained why he was on the bench in the next fixture against Werder Bremen.
«Tidiam played well against Gladbach. I decided to go with [Johan] Bakayoko to give him an opportunity, and with Tidiam Gomis on the bench I had a player I could bring on in three different positions.»

La competencia sigue siendo feroz. Nusa y Nkunku comparten el ataque con Brajan Gruda, Assan Ouédraogo, Rômulo y Bakayoko, lo que hace que los minutos regulares no estén garantizados.
